The Bookworm Club Challenge 2018

Grades Pre-K to 4

Structured reading over the summer break benefits the students by supporting language development, comprehension and it sparks the imagination! Therefore, CIS Library is offering once again our summer reading program, the Bookworm Club Challenge, to children from Pre-K through Grade 4.

Students who complete the challenge will receive a book as a gift and a certificate of accomplishment.

Here's how your child can participate in the Bookworm Club Challenge:

1 - Choose 5 books that you have never read before.

2 - Then fill out this Registration Form by Friday, 15 June.

3 - Read the 5 books over the summer holiday.

4 - Print this Reading Records and Activity form.

5 - Complete the Reading Records and Activity and deliver to the library by Friday, 31 August 2018.

Please note:

  • Only students who will be returning to CIS for the next school year (2018-19) can participate.
  • Certificates and books will only be given to children that have submitted the 5 (five) completed Reading Records to the library by Friday, 31 August.
  • You are responsible for returning the books borrowed from the library by Friday, 31 August 2018.

In grades Pre-K through Grade 1 students read with or to an adult. Students from Grade 2 to Grade 4 may choose to read by themselves or with an adult.

If you have questions or need help, don't hesitate to contact the library staff.
