Mother Tongue Program
CIS Mother Tongue (MT) Program 2019-20
CIS offers a Mother Tongue Program for students who wish to further engage in and develop their native language. The program is designed to facilitate learning on a native level and build on already established language skills.
The Mother Tongue Program is offered from grade one upwards, and includes a wide range of offered languages. Classes are created based on demand: A class is established after a minimum of three sign-ups, and special arrangements can be made for one or two students as well, at an accordingly adjusted fee.
The program is offered in the following periods:
Mon, September 16, 2019 – Mon, January 20, 2020
Mon, February 24, 2020 – Mon, June 8, 2020
The tuition fee for one season is 2100 DKK per student in the standard class, 3150 DKK with only two students in the class and 6300 DKK in one-on-one class, excluding learning materials, which will be advised by the teacher at the beginning of the season.
Classes run once a week, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm at the CIS Nordhavn Campus. There is also a possibility of arranging double classes from 3:30 to 5:30, in which case the tuition fee will be doubled.
To sign up your child for the Mother Tongue Program, please follow this link:
The sign ups will be open until August 26th
If you sign up the child in the beginning of the school year for season 1, your child will be re-enroll for season 2 automatically. If you wish to discontinue, you need to inform Aleksandra Achiam (Mother Tongue Coordinator) before December 13th.
Please note that it is the parents responsibility to supervise their children before the class starts and escort them to the designated classroom.
In case the teacher has an unscheduled absence, a make-up lesson will be arranged. That is, a “replacement” lesson will be arranged, and therefore, no refund will be made.
Once the class is confirmed the link for payments will be sent, and at that point it will no longer be possible to withdraw your child and cancel the payment.
The classes are scheduled to take place regardless of PT conferences, activity weeks, etc, and possible rescheduling needs to be arranged with the teacher. The only days when classes will not take place are the days marked in the calendar as “no school for students” which is:
In season 1:
Fri Oct 4, Oct 14-18, Dec 16 - Jan 6
In season 2:
April 6 - April 13, Fri May 8, Thu May 21, Fri May 22, , Mon June 1, Fri Jun 5
